The UNC Charlotte Student Health Center provides primary medical care, disease prevention, health education, wellness promotion, and various specialty services to all registered UNC Charlotte students, regardless of the type of health insurance they carry.
The Language Resource Center at UNC Charlotte is a technology-enhanced facility that supports foreign language and ESL learning and teaching. It supports the students and faculty in the Department of Languages and Culture Studies and the English Language Training Institute. The Center is located on the fourth floor of the College of Education Building.
The Counseling Center at UNC Charlotte supports the holistic well-being and academic success of students and contributes to a healthy and inclusive campus climate. This is accomplished by providing short-term individual and group counseling, crisis management, consultation, referral services, and educational and preventive initiatives for the campus community.
Consisting of 10 floors and countless study areas, Atkins Library fosters intellectual discovery by offering an impressive collection of scholarly materials, including robust special collections and the most up-to-date scholarly journals, and services, including interlibrary loan and the Writing Resources Center. Students and faculty are encouraged to ask the library’s knowledgeable staff of librarians for assistance with academic research.
PATS supports student moving to and around the campus through parking management, on-campus shuttle services, and connections to Charlotte city-wide transportation services. Students must purchase parking permits to park on campus but campus shuttle services as free to all students.
UNC Charlotte police officers are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Officers are assigned to protect the campus in cars, on bicycles, and on foot. The Police and Public Safety team periodically offers self-defense and other safety courses to faculty, staff and students.
