Seth attended graduate school at the University of Chicago to study history of religions and philosophy. His interest in language and culture stems from his studies of Chinese language and world religions and his time spent living abroad in China. He greatly values language education that helps students become fully engaged members of the university community and the society around them. He enjoys hiking, traveling to different parts of the world, and learning about ecology, nature, and gardens. Having grown up in North Carolina, he is an avid college basketball fan (go Duke!) and an authority on sweet tea.
